Life gives me lemons...
So the guy at the liquor store tells me that Jones Soda tells him that Lemon Drop Soda has been discontinued. Harrumph. Last I looked, it was still listed on their website. Dang. It's what I get for having eclectic taste, I guess. (At least I have a stockpile of "Kosher for Passover" Coca-Cola. Mmmm, sucrose.)
Atlantic puzzler...
I'm so much better at these than when I started. It's a shame that they are no longer available to all comers. If you'd like a copy, let me know. I'm happy to share. I got it all-but-done in one day this time:
Atlantic May Puzzler stumpers…
28. A springtime collector with all due respect for a country’s atmosphere (8)
A I R S P A C E (I don’t get the wordplay half…)
33. Farm animal’s feather is bedraggled (10)
Answer minus weapon is: S H __ C K __ E (The light is probably SHACKLE.)
------------------------
Edit: Okay, I get 33 now, RAM'S + HACKLE = RAMSHACKLE.
And I'm closer on 28: A + IRS... Is there some definition for "pace" I don't know?
-------------------------
Edit redux:
pa·ce prep.
With the permission of; with deference to. Used to express polite or ironically polite disagreement: I have not, pace my detractors, entered into any secret negotiations.
Duh.
